Meet the Staff
Mafe
Mafe’s nursing journey began over a decade ago when she worked as a patient care technician at L&M Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from the University of Connecticut and then pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston. After working in an array of different specialties as a nurse, she advanced her career and graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Mafe is credentialed through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She joined Hartford Healthcare working in Urgent Care, as well as CVS Minute Clinic. Mafe had always had a great desire to work in dermatology. She was astonished by the great opportunity to collaborate with the founder of Stels Beauty Wellness & MedSpa, Krystel. Over the past couple of years, Mafe has devoted time to Medical Aesthetics by completing numerous training and certifications from, but not limited to, Empire Medical Training, Aesthetic Mentor, and the Institute for Laser Medicine. Mafe knows the medical advances are being made every day; she assures she will continue to take part in annual training to ensure she is current with the most up-to-date, safe, and aesthetically pleasing techniques and practices for her clients.
Krystel
Krystel is the founder of Stels Beauty Wellness and Med Spa. She is a nurse with over 19 years of experience and continues to work as an RN in the local community in Southeastern CT. In January 2021, she decided to take the leap and get certified in Medical Aesthetics. She understands quality and safety matters. She has traveled to learn from some of the most well-known experts in the Aesthetics and Beauty world. She is excited to return all of her knowledge and bring it back to South Eastern CT. She continues her educate herself and to always provide the most up-to-date techniques at Stels Beauty Wellness and Med Spa. She loves to travel and takes pride in the importance of diversity and multiculturalism. From Injectables to body contouring treatments, she is ready to help enhance your beauty, and teach you tips and tricks to help kickstart your journey. The team can't wait to meet you!
Angelica
Angelica is happy to join you in the beauty world of esthetics. She has worked in the medical field for 11 years as a certified nursing assistant. She pursued her EKG certification and became a Licensed Professional Esthetician. One of her passions is going to the beach with family and friends. She has a great appreciation for art, nature, and beauty. She has strong attention to detail and creates the best client experience.
